Cyber Security Engineer (RO-ISE-1002)
Responsibilities
- Design and Implementation: Provide appropriate design, installation, configuration and support services for our core security products and managed security services to major organizations in Romania and abroad
- Solution Recommendations: Assess and recommend suitable security solutions and provide support on responses t Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFIs).
- HybridSIEM Management: Configure, maintain, and monitor our HybridSIEM Security Incident and Event Monitoring (SIEM) platform provided as a Managed Service, ensuring effective logging, alerting, and incident response, including the seamless onboarding of logs from managed systems like Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), firewalls, and proxies.
- Product Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of security products and technologies, providing informed recommendations to enhance our offerings and meet client requirements.
- Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Proactively troubleshoot and resolve customer incidents, leveraging technical expertise to minimize downtime and enhance client satisfaction.
- Technical Communication and Consultation: Engage in clear and effective communication with both internal teams and external technical counterparts, providing consultation on security best practices and strategies.
- Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate comprehensive knowledge transfer to clients as a critical component of our security solution deployments, ensuring they are equipped to manage and operate solutions effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and threats, contributing to the continuous improvement of our service offerings and security posture.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate security initiatives that align with overall organizational goals and enhance client protection strategies
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in cybersecurity or related fields.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related field with a preferred specialization in cyber security
- Advanced Certifications: Postgraduate studies or MSc on Information Security, CISSP, CompTIA Security+ or similar cyber security certifications , will be highly regarded.
- Technical Expertise: Strong foundation and in-depth technical knowledge in Networking concepts, Operating systems (Windows/Unix), Security domains such as Identity Access Management, Data Loss Prevention, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Application Security, Network Security, Endpoint Security, and Vulnerability Management. Related certifications in these areas are a plus.
- Cyber Security Operations Experience: Prior experience in Cyber Security Operations, including monitoring, detection, incident response, and forensics, is a significant advantage.
- Military Obligations: Fulfilled military obligations, if applicable.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Romanian. Proficiency in Greek or French is a plus.
- Time Management: Strong time management skills with a commitment to delivering quality results and a solution-oriented approach.
- Motivation: Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a proactive mindset.
- Travel: Willingness to travel 25% to 50% of the time for work-related purposes.
- Flexibility: Ability to work off-hours as required and demonstrate adaptability to changing priorities.
- Autonomy: Proven capability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and independent problem-solving skills.
